We have all noticed the trend towards one-stop shopping in our busy world. Party Rental Issues - Rusting Chairs

As the summer party season heats up it is apparent that a trend started a few years ago has remained HOT - parties that can be staged outdoors remain on top of the "must do" list. Customers in all areas of the country want to enjoy the time they can in the great outdoors. But what to do about your event furniture that has to endure the rigors of not only the party go-ers, but also the elements? What do you do when confronted with inexpensive products that at first glance seem the same but are different, sometimes dramatically so?

In recent years, rust has become a big problem on polyfold chairs, the work horse of most party rental companies. Some Polyfold chairs involve shortcuts in steel selection, cleaning and preparation.

Responding this rust problem, many rental companies have switched to costly aluminum frame chairs with an average selling price of $17-18 versus $10-11 for steel chairs. But this expense gets passed on to customers who are reluctant to pay more for an aluminum chair that sits the same as a steel one.

Technology is the key to solving this problem. Now there is a method of coating steel that completely eliminates the possibility of rust. This technology is sometimes known as "electro-plating" and it works by coating all areas of steel tubing, including the interior and exterior surfaces, thereby eliminating the possibility of rust completely.

Certain products have an immediate appeal in that they tend to cost less than their competitors. But the test of time does not always bode well for the less expensive brands because they just don't hold up over time and thus will make an expensive dent into long-term profits. Additionally, cheaper chairs become not only unsightly due to the rust but can also become unstable.
